Alvor Portugal

Alvor Algarve

Alvor is old fashioned, and the old port at the mouth of the Rio Alvor. It boasts a stunning landscape across a natural lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, and is a safe haven for wild animals. Alvor village is a pleasing rapport of new and old, traditional and contemporary.

Cobblestone streets and cottages contentedly sit alongside with bars and restaurants. This resort appeals to both couples and families alike. There are plenty of gorgeous beaches to choose from. The largest, sometimes known as Torralta, is the best prepared, sandy and backed by dunes. The other beaches in the locality are also sandy but with huge rocks intermittently scattered along the length. Alvor has plenty of bars, but only one single disco.
