Estepona, the Costa del Sol's most westerly resort, is situated more than half way down the shoreline to Gibraltar from Malaga airport and is 25 kilometers to the west of Marbella. You're more probable to pass the time of day over tapas with local people than to run into lots of tourists, although it is becoming increasingly popular, predominantly with golfers.

There are many sights to see - the clock tower, Lbs Remedios Church - and chic restaurants and bars around the harbor to sample. Stylish Marbella is renowned as one of Europe's most exclusive holiday resorts. Set around the beautiful orange tree lined Plaza de Naranjos, the historic quarter is a labyrinth of cobbled streets while the port area of Puerto Banus is home a vast array of luxurious yachts.
