Porec

Croatia

Porec is a small fishing harbor lying just north of Rovinj on the Istrian Riviera. The town's origins date back to Roman times and today it's one of Croatia's most popular holiday resorts. The old town of Porec boasts characteristic houses and ancient stone-paved streets which bustle with cafes, street painters and live entertainment. Porec is also for people who enjoy the outdoors with sports centres offering boating, walking and cycling along the stunning coastline.

Porec is at its liveliest during the months of August and September when many local festivals take place outdoors.

Porec can get very lively and noisy in high season, especially when the town is staging a local festival.
