Umag is located on the west side of the Istrian coastline, 13km northwest of Buje and 40km north of Porec. Its charming small town character, with its medieval basilicas and beautiful scenery, have long been popular with tourists. Nowadays these features stand side by side with modem tourist resorts that have all the facilities a holidaymaker could wish for. Umag is a typical example of a small medieval town with narrow streets and attractive architecture, offset against a lovely location and some of the best sporting facilities in the area.
