Sharm el Sheikh

Red Sea Riviera

Whether it's sunbathing, scuba diving or shopping, Sharm el Sheikh's got it all. This cosmopolitan resort is renowned the world over for its fine beaches and water sports. Snorkeling and scuba diving are particularly popular - don't worry if you're a novice though as there are plenty of dive schools along the coast. Sharm el Sheikh is also known for its luxurious hotels and excellent shopping facilities. Haggle with the locals as you barter for good value leather goods and Egyptian ornaments in the local bazaar. Away from the hustle and bustle of the markets, Sharm el Sheikh is home to a number of Western-style enclosed shopping malls and smart boutiques where you can shop to your heart's content. Life here during the day focuses on the beach and the evenings are no different. Some of the bars and restaurants are situated in Naama Bay overlooking the sea.
