Playa Barca is situated in the southeast of Fuerteventura where the atmosphere is relaxed and the pace of life slow. Located along the coast 18 kilometers to the east of Jandia, Playa Barca boasts a fantastic beach. This quiet location (except in August when it is home to the annual world windsurfing championships), is the place for sun, sea and sand with a stretch of beach proving the ultimate jewel in its glittering crown. The coastal breezes attract experienced windsurfers year-round.

The Hotel Gomones is the source of all nightlife in Playa Barca, alternatively why not sample Jandia which offers more low-key entertainment good food and great wine. This resort is popular with naturists. Non-swimmers and children must exercise caution when in the sea due to strong coastal currents.
