Named after the architect who pioneered this beautiful development, Puerto Calero has become one of the most exclusive and prestigious yacht harbours in the Canaries, surrounded by elegant villas and a few waterfront restaurants. Sailors navigate their way here to soak up the peaceful, sun blushed atmosphere. Although there is no direct beach access at Puerto Calero, there is plenty of water activities available ranging from annual sailing regattas to scuba diving lessons. The famous white Papagayo beaches are along the coastline, whilst neighbouring Puerto del Carmen offers popular stretches of beach peppered with watersports. Nightlife in Puerto Calero is mainly limited to the restaurants and cafes but nearby Puerto del Carmen has evening entertainment to keep you amused well into the early hours.
