Playa de las Americas, 30km south of Los Gigantes, is a modern playground with an international atmosphere perfect for families as well as young couples and groups of friends. The beaches are popular (all have dark volcanic sands), watersports are brilliant and there's a waterpark. There are three dark sandy beaches and three man-made beaches. Things really come to life after dark - there are so many bars, pubs and clubs here that the only problem is choosing which one to go to!
